FOR ALL
NET DEMOCRACY
Internet access is a basic necessity for economic and human development. In this digital era, connectivity has become essential service like water and electricity. Two way communication plays an important role between government and common man/woman to understand and to function more effectively.
CURRENT FACTS
As social and political engagement shifted online, basic freedom including free expression, freedom of information and freedom of communication are undermined if some citizens have access to the internet and others do not. We present you the current scenario and propose how NET DEMOCRACY aims to disrupt the landscape and provide free internet to all the households in India with 20 Mbps speed using cacheing and peering.

High operating costs for ISP, individual last mile expenses.
At present, there are high operating costs while providing internet access, which increases the last mile expenses for ISPs.

Outdated Technologies in use
The technologies that are currently in use are outdated. This increases the cost for ISPs which in turn is passed down to customers.

Higher spend by people for voice/data/television (triple pay)
People currently end up paying for all three services to different operators.
Growing radiation levels
Using excessive wireless networks leads to excessive amounts of radiation levels.
Green Future is far off with current technologies
With the use of current technologies, a green future is far from achievable.
As per a recent study, a number of important political institutions which have committed to ensuring universal access for their populations, are convinced that this goal is achievable.
The Indian state of Kerala has declared universal internet access a human right and aims to provide it for its 35 million people by 2019.
Around the globe, The European Union has launched the WiFi4EU initiative to provide 'every European village and city with free wireless internet access around main centres of public life by 2020.
Free internet access is part of Net Democracy's goals, and to make this a reality, we are partnering with local governments to deliver universal Internet access across developing nations like India.
SEEDS FOR THE FUTURE

OUR ROADMAP
Where We Can Help
Here is what we are proposing to governments, to enable and empower access to free internet for all.
Provide Health Services
Through Net Democracy, we aim to provide health services for all.
Drive Better Education
Providing better access to technology means providing better education for all.
Empower Govt Schemes
Aid government's people health programs such as TB, NariShakti etc.,
HOW GOVERNMENTS CAN PARTNER WITH US
Here are a few things that the governments need to spend on to enable free internet access through Net Democracy.
Free internet access must be considered as a human right, as people unable to get online -- particularly in developing countries -- lack meaningful ways to influence the global players that are shaping their everyday lives.
New research reveals that the internet could be a key way of protecting other basic human rights such as life, liberty, and freedom to communicate -- a means of enabling billions of people to lead 'minimally decent lives'.
The challenge is to provide free internet access to all. Only about 35 percent of the population in developing countries has access to the Internet (versus about 80 percent in advanced economies). Broadband has also become a foundation for smart infrastructure (e.g. Intelligent Transport Systems and Smart Electric grids) that is facilitated by new wireless technologies. It can help create jobs in information and communication technology (ICT), engineering and other sectors, as well as help catalyse job skills development, which is an important factor in poverty reduction and shared prosperity.
